Originally from The Netherlands, I consider myself partly French, having spent my formative years on the iconic Côte d’Azur. After earning degrees in Hospitality Management and Communication Science, my journey led me across South-East-Asia and the Middle East. From founding my own home furnishing brand to starting a family, my experiences have been diverse and enriching.
In 2018, my husband and I fulfilled our dream of buying a holiday home in the Alpes-Maritimes. Assisted by Fine & Country French Riviera, we discovered a hidden gem in the emerging area West of Grasse, known as the Cinq Communes—Cabris, Spéracèdes, Le Tignet, Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne, and Peymeinade—where we found remarkable value within our budget. In late 2019, just before the global pandemic, we chose to make this area our permanent home. It marked my transition into the real estate industry, a journey that led me to join Fine & Country's team of dedicated agents, learning from the best.

3. Mushroom hunting in Caussol during autumn, followed by a cosy lunch at Auberge de Caussol.
4. Winter skiing at Greoliere-les-Neiges, just 50 minutes away, with picnics atop slopes and breathtaking sea views.
5. Hiking in the hilltops of Tanneron and Auribeau-sur-Siagne during early February's vibrant Mimosa season.

In 2022, we bought a villa in the South of France through Fine & Country. Throughout the process, we have collaborated with property consultant Naomi Pescheux.
It is a cumbersome and complicated process to buy a house, especially in another country, where one can not physically in place all the time, and where both distance, language, no prior contact points, and a different regulation are barriers.
Throughout this process, we have experienced an extraordinary professionalism and dedication from Naomi Pescheux. She has been an invaluable help throughout. This applies both in the process before the purchase, including in dialogue and negotiations with the seller, in connection with the purchase, where she assisted with the process of notary, which is completely different from Denmark. And not least after the acquisition, where we have also experienced a unique assistance, among other things with the establishment of contacts to the bank, the takeover of obligations in relation to utilities, the establishment of agreements with cleaning, gardener and pool service, etc.
This has been absolutely crucial for us to get through the difficult process of buying a villa abroad more easily than would otherwise have been the case.
